Cupcake hat from Chile con yarne

This is the cupcake hat I made from this pattern http://rsveverka.com/chileconyarne/2008/09/08/cupcake/ . Used size ten needles and red heart for the base (same as the turkey) and an unknown chunky fushia yarn (no label from garage sale) with pretty colored thread thru and kind of mohairy. The current pompom I made with white fun fur type yarn but realize now it will not last, looks cool but keeps shedding. I will replace with an acrylic or wool one eventually.

Here it is. I found it at http://goingcrafty.com/?p=86 and made a few adjustments. I added a ribbed brim when it did not end up long enough for the intended head and have not stuffed the legs. Too lazy. Yarn was from scrap stash and red heart brand. Nothing special but silly/fun.

Updates on my knitting forays. In the past couple weeks I have knit three hats…turkey from go crafty, cupcake from a site I cannot remember and one other neat faux cabled hat in wool (originally cotton in pattern). Will post this week with links.
